CONVENIENT - results in 3 hours, with minimal hands-on.
EXCELLENT SENSITIVITY 3 nmol/L (1.2 ng/mL)
WIDE WORKING RANGE accommodates all clinical samples
(1.6-160 ng/mL, 4-400 nmol/L)
GOOD CORRELATION with competing assays and HPLC methods. For example:
IDS = 0.84 x DiaSorin 5.0 nmol/L
(r2=0.92, n=68)
IDS = 0.94 x HPLC 2.8 nmol/L
(r2=0.89, n=39)
EXCELLENT ACCURACY AND PRECISION from enhanced extraction and solid-phase separation (intra-assay 8, inter-assay 12)
MEASURES serum 25-hydroxy vitamin D3 and D2 and metabolites.
COMPLEMENTARY - ideal companion product to innovative Gamma-B 1,25-Dih

Osteocalcin, also known as Bone-Gla-Protein (BGP), is a single chain (Mr=5800) vitamin K dependent protein produced by osteoblasts and found in high concentrations in bone (1-4). Post-translational modification by a vitamin K dependent carboxylase produces three g-carboxyglutamic acid residues at positions 17, 21 and 24. The mature protein contains 49 amino acids and a single intrachain disulfide bond joining Cys23 to Cys29. The secondary structure is highly calcium dependent and contains 14 α-helix, 20 β-sheet and 67 random form in the presence of calcium, and 1 α-helix, 20 β-sheet and 79 ran
