The BioVacTM 96 Vacuum Manifold was designed to be suitable to nucleic acid purification kits of the 96-well type, by which can be effectively and simultaneously extracted or purified plasmid DNA, genomic DNA, and/or PCR products as a unit of 96 samples. The BioVacTM 96 Vacuum Manifold can it makes to easily perform washing step in purification/extraction procedure of nucleic acid samples, by being equipped with vacuum pump applied the principle of decompression. The BioVacTM 96 Vacuum Manifold can be conveniently used by the accompanied waste tray.

Empore™ 96-Well Plates provide a means of high throughput sample preparation by processing 96 samples in a standard 8x12 microcolumn plate format compatible with standard 96-well plate liquid handling technologies and injection systems. Empore™ 96-Well Plates are available for solid phase extraction (SPE) and for filtration after protein precipitation.

Vacuum-driven liquid processing facilitates sample handling and reduces hands-on preparation time by eliminating the tedious loading and unloading of spin columns into a centrifuge and subsequent removal of flow-through during binding and washing procedures (see flowchart). Prevention of cross-contamination is especially critical when purifying nucleic acids from clinical samples. QIAGEN spin columns are inserted into disposable VacConnectors, preventing direct contact of the spin column with the manifold. VacValves ensure constant vacuum pressure with viscous samples like blood. The QIAvac 24

QIAvac 96 is designed for efficient processing of QIAGEN 96-well plates. The 96-well purification module sits in the QIAvac 96 top plate, allowing samples and buffers to be efficiently drawn through the wells. The versatile QIAvac base holds an additional module, a waste tray, or collection vessels such as microtubes or a 96-well microplate during processing. This allows samples to be drawn from one module to the next, avoiding time-consuming labeling and transfer steps.

The TurboVap 500 Concentration Evaporator Workstation is a closed cell evaporation system that provides automated sample concentration and solvent recovery using a helical gas flow and sensor endpoint detection technology. The “helical flow” of air is created by a motor-driven fan. The solvent vapors rise and enter the condenser, condense on the side walls, then run out the drain into a suitable waste or reclamation container. The two position unit accommodates 500mL vessels with either 0.5 mL or 1.0 mL endpoint stems.
