To dry gels rapidly, evenly and safely, the Hoefer GD 2000 uses a dry-heat vacuum method. Heat and vacuum are applied beneath the gel through a heavy aluminum platen.
Dries acrylamide and agarose gels up to 33 x 44 cm in as little as thirty minutes.
The heavy aluminum platen provides even heat distribution and even vacuum distribution under the gel.
