The CELL-DYN Ruby haematology system (Abbott
Diagnostics, Santa Clara, CA) utilises optical measurement
technologies to provide reliable and efficient analysis of
samples appropriate to mid-range laboratories. The aims
of this study were to determine precision for CELL-DYN Ruby
parameter measurements, and correlations between the
CELL-DYN Ruby, CELL-DYN 3500 and CELL-DYN 4000
analysers for RBC parameters, reticulocytes, platelet counts,
WBC counts, WBC differentials and WBC flagging.
