The Reveal Rapid HIV-1 Antibody test (Reveal test) is MedMiras flagship rapid HIV test. This test detects antibodies in human serum or plasma against HIV-1 that are produced by the body in response to HIV infection. The Reveal test is based on MedMiras proprietary flow-through membrane technology, and is comprised of a single-use test cartridge containing an immunoreactive test membrane. The membrane functions to capture HIV-1 antibodies in serum or plasma when a drop of the specimen is applied. The test is manually performed and visually interpreted with the result available within 3 minutes.
