The Cholestech GDX™ A1C test cartridge provides lab accurate NGSP certified quantitative A1C results using the same chemical method as many laboratory tests. This test is indicated for measuring the average blood glucose level of people with diabetes which indicates overall blood glucose control. The concentration of A1C within red blood cells reflects the average level of blood sugar (glucose) over the previous 2-3 months. The higher the blood sugar level, the higher the A1C. Results above 7 indicate that the day to day glucose levels are above the recommended level
