Streptavidin labeled with 5 nm colloidal gold particles. Streptavidin is a protein isolated from the bacterium Streptomyces avidinii and has no carbohydrate moieties. It has a molecular weight of approximately 60,000 Daltons with an isoelectric point of 5. 5 nm gold streptavidin is recommended for detection on paraffin embedded, frozen tissue sections, or cell preparations. It is suitable for use in both light microscopy and electron microscopy applications. Product is in liquid form.
