Rapidly progressive glomerulonephritis (RPGN) is a clinical syndrome developing ver days or weeks characterized by crescentic lomerulonephritis as seen by histopathology of the kidney. The prognosis is poor if not recognized early and if an appropriate treatment is not instituted. RPGN may be assessed based on indirect immunofluorescence serum studies and electron microscope evaluations of renal biopsies.
