Physiological applications involving living cells and/or tissues
often require water objectives which can be dipped directly
into the culture medium. W objectives have a conical tip
made from special inert plastic. They are often, but not only
used in combination with a fixed-stage microscope. These
objectives are distinguished through their outstanding optical
performance with good flatness of field and high transmission
for perfect results in physiology.
