Dissolving crystals in Immersion Oil IMMERSOL™ 518F & 518N

At temperatures below 18°C (65°F) crystal formation may occur in Immersol 518F & 518N immersion oils (both during shipping or regular storage). This is due to the isomerism of the main component Di-(TCD–methylol) – adipate (DTCDMA) and our demands on the purity. Two methods for dissolving these crystals are possible: 1. They can be dissolved by heating to 50-60°C (120 – 140°F) in a waterbath or a drying oven. The cap of the bottle(s) must be opened but need not be removed, to allow for thermal expansion and to avoid pressure build-up. It is important that the crystals are completely dissolved
