These circular anastomotic staplers were designed to facilitate insertion, operation and removal. They are available in four sizes to permit proper matching of instrument to lumen diameter. The staplers permit tissue attachment to the anvil shaft in a location remote from the main body of the instrument to improve access and visibility. They allow the surgeon to control tissue compression by adjusting the height of the closed staple. The cutting washer provides an audible, tactile crunch" when the stapler is fired. Staples are 0.28mm in diameter with a 4.0mm crown and 5.5mm leg.
